The University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development is launching an introductory online course to Data Science for middle and high school teachers on January 27, 2025!

Who is the course for?
This course is for middle and high school educators who are interested in learning more about data science and how they can incorporate it with a global perspective into their curriculum.

Teachers throughout the U.S. and abroad are also encouraged to enroll. All participants will receive a certificate of completion after delivering a lesson plan reflecting their new knowledge.

Course HIGHLIGHTS:

• Self-paced course with 6 modules focused on introducing data science with global perspectives
• Active learning through engaging videos and hands-on activities
• Access to experts in data science education to brainstorm lesson ideas with
• Take away a customized lesson to use with your class

Note:

• The first 40 middle and high school teachers in Virginia to enroll, will receive a complimentary registration. Please complete the interest form to receive more details.
• Middle and high school teachers in Virginia will have the opportunity to receive an additional $150 stipend. Please complete the interest form to receive more details.
